Amazon Web Services monitoring

Utilising Amazon CloudWatch, our platform has access to the extensive metrics available via this API. The Gemmb Amazon Web Services (AWS) component performs integrated status, statistics and threshold monitoring. Instantly, the Amazon cloud becomes integrated into the platform's monitoring, service desk, reporting, and other functionalities — just like any other managed infrastructure.

The AWS component is configurable to collect data from many different Amazon services, including EC2, RDS, ELB and more.

Different polling settings of the AWS metrics can be configured for each AWS instance, with customisable threshold levels that directly feed into the Gemmb platform's alert processing component.

Integrated with the rest of the platform

The poller collects Amazon CloudWatch metrics to generate status, statistics and thresholding information in a manner consistent with other Gemmb monitoring components.

This allows the AWS functionality to be processed and presented in the same consistent format as all other managed systems, resulting in direct integration with platform features such as service management, ticketing, statistics charting and reporting.
